Onion Relish

 

 

4 large onions, peeled and halved

4 tsp olive oil

4 tsp brown sugar

4 tsp thyme leaves

 

1. Cut onions into very thin slices.

 

2. Heat oil in a large, deep frying pan, and cook onions over medium

heat for 30 to 40 minutes, stirring regularly, until soft and dark golden.

 

3. Stir in sugar and thyme. Season. Serve warm or at room temperature.

 

 

 

SERVING SUGGESTION: Serve with tofu turkey.

 

 

 

Serves 6.
