Guest guest
Rosemary & Thyme Salt 1 cup sea salt flakes 4 teaspoons dried rosemary leaves 4 teaspoons dried thyme leaves 1. Combine all ingredients in a small non-stick frying pan. Cook, stirring, over moderate heat for 3 to 4 minutes or until fragrant. 2. Transfer to a mortar and pestle; pound until crushed and combined. Salt will change colour slightly and take on pigment of spices. 3. Fill 1/2 cup spring-lock jars with salt. Attach a small spoon to complete as a gift. TIP: If you don't have a mortar and pestle, place salt mixture in a sturdy bowl and pound with the flat end of a rolling pin or base of a can to crush and combine salt. Makes 1 cup.
