Guest guest
Denise yes ophthalmologist is the rigth person (make sure not to go to an optometrist) the baby might have somehting called Lazy eye and its found in almost 5% of kids and its very good that found out this early. the earlier it is found the better it is. don't worry though , from what i have heard its rectifiable my kids has a different kind of lazy eye (ambylopia), as ts not apparent in his case and we didn't find that out till he turned 5. but even in his case the doc says it can be fixed and we are workng on it. So good luck with it but tell your sister not too worry till she has a visit with the Opthamologist --- On Fri, 4/9/10, wrote: Digest Number 2976 Friday, April 9, 2010, 12:32 AM There are 13 messages in this issue. ______________________ 1h. OT: Infant Eye Rolling Posted by: " Denise Turner " deniseamay deniseamay Thu Apr 8, 2010 8:50 pm ((PDT)) Hi Everyone! I was wondering if any of you have had experience with this with your children. My nephew has been rolling his eyes for the past few days. He becomes very whiny and looks to be uncomfortable then he rolls his eyes up (like he's looking at something above him) then he's over it and continues as normal. It happens at all times of the day not just when he's tired. My sister took him to the ER because it really scared her and the CT scan didn't show any seizures or tumors. She has an appt next week with a neurologist and ophthalmologist but the waiting is killing her as it's just so strange! Has anyone had experience like this?? Or have any thoughts on what it could be? Of course, only as personal opinion and not as medical advice. Thanks so very much!!!!
