Guest guest
I am looking into supplement options for my daughter who just turned one. Can anyone here recommed any brands of vegan multivitamins or vegan iron supplements that come in the liquid drops? Thanks a bunch. Guest guest
We had the Poly vi sol liquid drops, but my son HATED them (he refused to drink anything that had it mixed in. I once tasted it and it was pretty foul. We did some chewable vegan vitamins - Dolphin pals (I think is the name) they have gummy-type and a liquid. We have been giving him Vegan Kids vitamins alternating with just the vegetarian B12 drops (there is a vanilla/raspberry liquid that he's awfully fond of, but I only get that through my co-op and I keep forgetting/still have the dissolvable tablets. They probably have others in a healthfood/vitamin type store I'd guess). There is another brand that escapes me, but it was a gummy (and was vegan) that we used to get maybe it was the vegetarian vitamins from Rhino? I forget what they're called. My son adores the Vegan Kids chewable ones, he calls them 'cookies', even though he knows they are vitamins. heh For little ones I heard the gummy types are not good - they can choke on them, so regular old chewable ones would be better for a 1yr old. My son had no trouble, but by 1 he had all his teeth and was quite firmly on the eating solids ground (and nursed till he was almost 2). Guest guest
We give our son Floradix Kindervital. It says on its web site, and on the box we have that it uses D2, but I've been told by at least one person the company told them they use D3 and the web site and packaging needs to be fixed. A look around the web gives conflicting info. I just emailed them again to ask. I'll post again if I get a response. Guest guest
Ugh! They told me that the Kindervital is NOT vegan, uses D3. See response below. ---- Hello, The vitamin D in Kindervital is D3 (cholecalciferol) and it is sourced from sun irradiated lamb's wool. Lanolin, the waxy substance on lamb's wool, is the specific source. It is considered vegetarian but not vegan. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Best regards, Rob Robert Dadd, MH Master Herbalist | Flora Product Information Assistant ---- Guess we need to find a new option. Guest guest
All 3 of my boys have taken the Poly vi sol. My middle boy is extremely picky and still takes it! My oldest used to take it straight from the dropper!! Now I put it in watered down orange juice most often, but have also put it in watered down cranberry juice, watered down apple juice and watered down white grape juice. They have never seemed to notice, even when they see me add the drop. , " shylahsc " <shylah wrote: > > I am looking into supplement options for my daughter who just turned one. Guest guest
I would suggest floradix herbs and iron (if your baby is low in iron) and I heard about a B12 spray which I have not bought yet since I am still breastfeeding, other than that you shouldn't need anything else elisa , " iris777888 " <iris777888 wrote: > > Ugh!
