RE: Eating Animals, dining out with meat eaters

I'm at page 200 now... and I highly recommend the book to others. There

was a quote that I came across tonight that pertained to dining out with

others eating meat. I found it interesting... he said " It seems to me

that it's plainly wrong to eat factory-farmed pork or to feed it to

one's family. It's probably even wrong to sit silently with friends

eating factory-farmed pork, however difficult it can be to say

something. "

I choose to preach vegetarianism (if I'm going to say anything at all) away

from the supper table. Omnivores (for lack of a better word) get very

defensive about their choices, after all.

People are so worried about what they eat between Christmas and the New

Year, but they really should be worried about what they eat between the New

Year and Christmas.
