Guest guest
Could you make a sort of " taco dip " recipe, using vegetarian refried beans, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese if you want, and serve with tortilla chips? Just sprinkle the lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese on top of the refried beans. It can be served warm or room temp. Being a party for 12 year olds, they could grab a chip and and some dip and go back to mingling with friends and dancing and just enjoying themselves. :-D Hope the party's a good one! :-D Pat Mail - PC Magazine Editors' Choice 2005

She wants to have a party at a local park with lots of veggie appetizer type dishes for her non veggie friends to try. I think this is a great idea since many of them think that all she eats are salads and cheese pizza. > I'm in search of simple dishes that would go over well at a 12 YO birthday party. Guest guest
Those sound great, PT. Nothing better than a laid out platter of different finger foods. You get a taste of everything. Don't you also have some type of pizza dip or pizza thing that is popular? Pizza or pizza flavored things always seem to go over well with the kids. There is also that always classic and interactive, " Create Your Own Sundae or Banana Split " bit. I don't remember what diet your dd has Robin but you can get an ice-cream and have the variety of toppings ready so that they can build their own creation and consume. S. Guest guest
My 7 year old like Robert's American Gourmet's Crunchy Corn Sticks (same company that makes Veggie Booty.) We call them vegan cheetos---the kids will eat them up!
