Guest guest
Hello, I just received " That's Why We Don't Eat Animals " by Ruby Roth from Pangea (http://www.pangeaveg.com/) The cartoon animals crammed in cages with teary eyes would give him a more bothersome perspective than adopting a turkey. Just another viewpoint---he sounds like he might need some blunt information. The last few pages deal with the environment. Very well-done book. Guest guest
Hi, I second the suggestion that you try to find/ borrow Dav Pilkey's book " Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving. " I reviewed it recently on my blog -- http://vegbooks.wordpress.com/2009/11/07/twas-the-night-before-thanksgiving/ -- and included links to two sites that have activities related to the book. Spending time together working through an activity might bring the message home. Another thought: involve your child in planning your vegetarian Thanksgiving feast by brainstorming about menu items, going shopping together, and making decorations for the table. Good luck, Jessica
