Guest guest
Crocs now makes boots - $25/$40.  think all their stuff is vegan  They are super warm.  Had to find them b/c my daughter spontaneously stopped wearing leather, which, of course inspired me to do the same.  Had to give up her soccer cleats, but no big loss. She also is refusing to sit on leather seats.  I am indulging her big time.Anyone know a fast and easy way non embarrasing way to tell the difference between leather and vinyl in, say, a waiting room? I find them a great source for non-leather shoes. The kids designs are often very Disney-esk, but my kids love them. I buy most of my own shoes there too. -- Sharon @gro ups.com [@gro ups.com] On Behalf Of iris777888 Monday, November 23, 2009 10:12 AM @gro ups.com Re: girls' vegan boots--Thanks Tracy! Seems you already found some that will work for you, but I wanted to point out for others that may be looking that I found several pairs of boots that are all " man made materials " at Payless. They're not plastic either, actually look a lot like the suede kind. I checked and they do have them in girls sizes. http://www.payless. com/store/ catalog/subsubca tegory.jsp? trail=1016% 3Acat10334 & subCatId= cat10334 & catId=cat10090 Payless has a lot of non-leather options for shoes and boots. If you're worried about fair trade, who made them, where and how they're made then these won't work for you, but if you're just looking for non-leather then these are a good choice, inexpensive and easy to find. For others looking for vegan girls' boots, the Skechers Keepsakes passed the 6 year old daughter test (well, at least the picture did!)in my family . I bought them through zappos and we will see how she likes them when they arrive. > Peace, > Melissa > > @gro ups.com, " werallanimals " <vegmac@> wrote: > > > > I was wondering if anyone has come across any girls' vegan boots. My daughter is 6 years old and has found a suede pair that she really likes, and in my experience, although the shoe situation has drastically improved for us vegan adults over the years, not as much for kids. We never have a problem finding everyday shoes, and finding boots feels challenging! > > > > Thanks, > > Melissa > > > ------------ --------- --------- ------ For more information about vegetarianism, please visit the VRG website at http://www.vrg. org and for materials especially useful for families go to http://www.vrg. org/family.
