Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just borrowed a Kitchen Aid stand mixer because I bought a mix for vegan marshmallows that required one (just finished making them, they look fantastic but will have to sit for a while before we dig in!). My question -- what else do you use your stand mixer for, for those of you who own one? I have heard people say they can't live without them, use them every day -- having never had one and gotten along just fine, I don't know what to do with it. But I can keep it for a week or so, so would like to take this chance to experiment! Heather

Guest guest
Mostly I use mine for baking. I wouldn't say I use it every day, but on average probably once a week. It's indispensable for baking double recipes, Christmas cookies, etc.- so much easier than using a hand held mixer. Great for the kids to help, too- they love to toss the stuff in the bowl and the oldest one can turn it on for me. I also like that I can start something mixing that needs some time to mix- a few minutes, etc, and walk away from it. j. ________________________________ Heather Hossfeld <hlh4850 VRGParents Thursday, June 25, 2009 2:28:03 PM Stand mixer Hi everyone, I just borrowed a Kitchen Aid stand mixer because I bought a mix for vegan marshmallows that required one (just finished making them, they look fantastic but will have to sit for a while before we dig in!).
