Guest guest
I always make these, my 22 year old and I love them, but I have to take hers out of the pan before adding the crumbs and optional cheese. simmer two cans of green beans in a large pan or medium sized pot with two tablespoons 3 tablespoons of whatever you like ... butter, olive oil, margarine, etc. add some garlic powder to taste, some season salt (optional) take out now anyone's portion who won't like it from here. ;o) now remove from stove, they don't have to simmer long, maybe 3-5 minutes, and sprinkle over top some breadcrumbs and some Parmesan cheese (optional) The Parmesan cheese really does it, so if there is a vegan alternative for vegans that would be great, otherwise, leave it out, it is still good. you will get used to the measurements, sorry, I just sprinkle. blessings, Maria Chanda
Guest guest
I've been craving green beans lately! Such a perfect recipe for me! I might leave out breadcrumbs, yet still include the cheese if I ever have that on hand. Btw, how do I make my own breadcrumbs? Do they get soggy when you put it on the green beans or do you drain the beans first and sprinkle the crumbs right before serving? sorry so many questions, I've just never used them before. This week I will try it the way your daughter likes it because that's all the ingredients from the recipe I have on hand, anyway.
