Guest guest
I bought some Oat groats at Whole foods today, does anyone have any suggestions on how to prepare them? Thanks Gayle
Guest guest
I don't know, but this should be interesting -- oat groats come in most commercial bird seed mixtures! They're a fairly soft seed, maybe they would go well on salads like sunflower seeds? Guest guest
Hi Gayle, I have been making them for years. This is how I do it. In a crockpot put 1 cup Oat Groats, 6-8 cups of water depending on consistancy desired. Turn on high to get it started then turn to low and cook overnight. In the morning they will be ready. Very creamy and delicious. I top mine with honey and soy milk. Let mw know how they turn out. Terri A womans place is on a horse.
