Guest guest
I recently was at a friends house and she took some smoothies out of the freezer, that she had frozen, and popped them in the microwave. I questioned her about why she was doing that, as I thought she would have to stir and have half of it melted and have frozen solid. Well she showed me that if you use the auto-defrost button on your microwave, it just defrosts it and doesn't try to cook it. It comes out all slushy and perfect. I can't believe that I have never noticed that button on my microwave. Now I use it all the times defrosting foods. It is just amazing on bread. No hard bread, just soft nice bread. I take it out of the freezer, set the bread on a plate uncoverd and hit defrost. It asks me for a weight of the item, which I approximate, and it tells me when to flip it the item over. My microwave moves in a circle pattern as it works. It is also great for frozen pre-cooked soup, beans, greens etc. Then after it is thawed, just cover and heat to desired hotness.
