Guest guest
Speaking of comfort foods, this is a really quick and delicious creamy pasta dish that you can throw together in no time. With our super-busy schedules in Autumn this makes a great meal with crusty bread and a nice vegetable salad. I have even added sauted leftover veggies to this to make it more of a vegetable primavera dish. It is a great way to clean out the fridge. Walnut Cream Pasta 1 package (12 oz) fettuccine 2 garlic cloves, minced 3 Tbs butter or margarine 1/2 cup vegetable broth 1/2 cup sour cream 1/4 cup whipping cream 1/4 tsp salt 1/8 tsp pepper 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1 cup finely chopped walnuts Cook the fettucine according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, saute garlic in butter for 1 minute. Gradually stir in broth. Reduce heat. In a bowl, combine sour cream, whipping cream, salt and pepper; stir into broth mixture (do not boil). Drain fettuccine and place in a large pasta serving bowl. Add the cream sauce, Parmesan cheese and walnuts; toss to coat.
