Guest guest Posted April 18, 2010 Report Share Posted April 18, 2010 Tomato Gravy 2 tablespoons butter or margarine 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1/3 cup vegi broth 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper You may add a dash of red poepper flakes and a minced garlic clove Melt butter in a small saucepan; whisk in flour, and cook, whisking constantly, 1 minute. Gradually whisk in broth and tomato sauce; reduce heat, and simmer until thickened. Whisk in salt and pepper. Makes about 1 cup.
