Guest guest Posted November 12, 2009 Report Share Posted November 12, 2009 I can't believe it's taken me this long to catch on to steaming, but I find things cook in half the time. The other morning I made veggie stew by steaming potatoes, carrots, & onions, then mixing with brown gravy. It was done in a fraction of the time it would have taken to cook the traditional way. I keep my dutch oven with steamer basket on the top of the stove now. It's such a great way to cook veggies in a short time. Ellen Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
