Guest guest
Hi everyone. Sorry I've been kind of slow in introducing myself. My name is Liz and I joined the group about two weeks ago. I just love all the great recipes here! I particularly like the frozen banana cappuccino. Anyway, I've been a lacto-ovo vegetarian for about a month and a half. I know that doesn't sound like long, but I am enjoying all the positive changes in my life that have followed from this. I found that before I thoughtlessly used meat as a centerpiece to every meal. Now I am creative in the kitchen, and am trying all sorts of new foods. It is quite the adventure! I also make healthier choices and don't even drink soda anymore. I am looking for all sorts of healthy recipes that can be made with ingredients bought on a college student's budget. I like using fresh fruits and vegetables. I really love eggplant and want to try my hand at an eggplant lasagna. I also think the idea of bento boxes is cool. I had never heard of them before joining this group but I like the artistic element of preparing food and the possible weight loss benefits implicit in portion control. I don't really know where to start as far as preparing the rice balls and whatnot, but I hope to learn that in time. Anyway, I am sure I will enjoy my membership in the feral vegetarian.
