I can find cans of vegetarian chili in the store.

Just read the labels. They don't have as much flavor

as my homemade chili, but when I don't have any

in the freezer canned chili is so easy for a quick

hot dog topping.

Sounds like you are doing great. Keep that husband,

he sure sounds like a great guy. Early anniversary

wishes. Congratulations on 32 years. :)

I figure once I slather them with spicy mustard and

add relish and all the other stuff, they'll be fine.

i never thought about frying them - sounds like a

good idea!  Do you make the veg chili or do they

sell it somewhere?

I'm a little intimidated by some of the cooking that

goes on on this list - cooking isn't my forte!

However, my husband, who still eats meat, said just

tonight that he is perfectly content and even thrilled

with all the things I've been making, and he doesn't

miss meat at all.  I quit eating pigs and cows five

years ago, chicken 1-2 years ago and fish only about

6 months ago.  For a while, I still fixed my husband

meat, but I phazed that out, and he hardly noticed.

He still orders it when we go out, but he defends

my decision and his new way of eating to every

naysayer that comes along...  Next week will be our

32nd anniversary - guess I'll keep him :)
