Guest guest
Did you try those veggie hot dogs yet? What brand did you pick up? I find that most of them are better tasting when I fry them in a pan with a bit of butter, then add all my favorite toppings: mustard & dill pickle relish, or veg chili & shredded cheddar cheese. ~ PT ~ I'll tell you of a special festival, The glorious dues of May-day; Ale, roots, sweet whey, And fresh curds to the fire. ~ Early Irish Calendar poem `````````````````````````````` , Kathleen Fryback <kathef17 wrote: > 2. A little bit of a craving for a hot dog with the works, so I just bought some veggie dogs to try out...
Guest guest
I haven't tried them yet - they are Morning Star. I figure once I slather them with spicy mustard and add relish and all the other stuff, they'll be fine. i never thought about frying them - sounds like a good idea! Do you make the veg chili or do they sell it somewhere? I'm a little intimidated by some of the cooking that goes on on this list - cooking isn't my forte! However, my husband, who still eats meat, said just tonight that he is perfectly content and even thrilled with all the things I've been making, and he doesn't miss meat at all. I quit eating pigs and cows five years ago, chicken 1-2 years ago and fish only about 6 months ago. For a while, I still fixed my husband meat, but I phazed that out, and he hardly noticed. He still orders it when we go out, but he defends my decision and his new way of eating to every naysayer that comes along... Next week will be our 32nd anniversary - guess I'll keep him Kath ________________________________ ~ PT ~ <patchouli_troll Sunday, May 3, 2009 2:22:05 PM Hi Kath; was: some flavors you miss?
