Guest guest
Did you hear ABC report that number this morning! Wow! When I teach in elementary schools the last few years--they make a BIG push to eat vegetables and give the little ones a lot of positive re-enforcement to do so. My four children and three grandchildren certainly like their vegetables and are happy to eat anything. I smile when my 2 yr old grandson eats olives like candy and likes grapefruit too. The news commentator thought the nutritionist would say that for young children vegetarianism was bad--but she didn't! Said you could grow bones, etc. well w/o meat. Also, lots of these children are in families where everyone else eats animals! So some compromise with the 7 yr old and just have a meatless day once or twice a week. How goes it in your families? The first vegetarian family I met was when I lived in WALES. Soon after that, I stopped eating animals too! Over 35 yrs ago.
