Guest guest
Yes, I know we've established that plants don't have a nervous system. However, tonight I came across this word in the dictionary, oogonium.(There's two dots over the second "o.") It means "the female sexual organ in oogamous thallophytic plants, containing one or more eggs, or oospheres, which develop after fertilization into oospores." (Thallophytic plants include algae, lichen, bacteria, and fungi.) Most of those things are found near bodies of water, and they're just not what most vegans eat, except maybe seaweed. But what about fungi? That includes mushrooms. With all that talk of sexual organs, eggs, and fertilization, it almost makes mushrooms seem like an animal. I realize some plants reproduce asexually, but not these guys. They're a far cry from reproducing by spreading seeds the way dandelions do. I'm starting to ramble, but it's just that this word "oogonium" really messed me up. Explain somebody. *This message was brought to you by: Amy Help STOP SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE*
