Guest guest
I heard that they are having a hard time finding good priests and that they just can't be as picky as they would like to be. I can't tell you much more, I read an article on the Catholic church problems and I remember this. It is a shame, be it Catholic or Christian you will have some people not following the teachings and tainting the name for the true Christians, this is apparent in all lives, I just think people focus on Christanity so much because of the inconsistancies sometimes between the teachings and the actions. It's like George Bush, he is Christian and I find it hard to find any Christian qualities in him, I have tried. One thing Dave did touch on with his comment is that labels can be just that, labels. I find it more important to follow the teachings as well as I can than being concerned with whether I am viewed as Christian. "Hi TomThis is something that conspiracy theorists have been saying for a while, but obviously the problem is with the priesthood, not the followers.Jo" The New Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo. Guest guest
Hi Surya As you say, there are bad elements in all groups of people, but it does not mean that every Christian (or Pagan etc) is bad. It is similar to someone calling themselves 'vegetarian' and eating fish - just because they have chosen to say that they belong to a certain group does not actually mean anything - other than they are not what they say they are (I hope I am making sense!) It is these people who give the group a bad name.
