Guest guest
Here in Britain, we have a pretty little Sunflower logo (authorised by The Vegan Society) for Vegan products - although not all vegan products have the logo, just to confuse! They also produce a handbook of all things vegan as well. Do you have a similar thing over the 'pond'? Here in the U.S., it's pretty much the same deal. There is a " Certified Vegan " logo: a heart shape. However, it is not on every vegan product. After becoming familiar with definite non-vegan additives (i.e., Vitamin D3, whey, lactose) and possible non-vegan additives (i.e., lactic acid) one just gets accustomed to reading the label. A good site for new vegans is http://animal- ingredients.hypermart.net/. You can print off or save a definitive listing of non-vegan and possible non-vegan ingredients. Watch to printing, it's over 30 pages long! However, I found it very helpful. Happy label reading! Doug
