Guest guest
Hello:) Around the web I am known as Rainlily, but my real name is Susanne. I'm 24 and from nova scotia, Canada. I have recently made the decision to go vegan, originally the thought was to go vegetarian but after reading many resources have decided to go the one step further. My fiance whom i live with has been very supportive of my decision, and has agreed to try some stuff like veggie burgers etc. I believe that some day he may go vegan as well. He loves animals , and won't let you tell him any sad story involving an animal and is nervous eating many meats. At the present time he will not eat hamburger, hates fish, rarely eats ham or bacon, and will only eat chicken or turkey if I will be home that night ( I work the graveyard shift). He has gotten sick more than once off of chicken, turkey and hamburger, and due to his anxiety disorder has taken an anxiety attack each time. LOL he is also lactose intolerant so....I think as long as I don't push or try to force him in that direction he will go that way on his own. The reason I decided to go Vegan is because i feel like a hypocrite, or rather i AM a hypocrite, I love animals. I could never kill a cow, or a pig or even watch one being killed, so why am I eating meat?????I don't want animals to suffer or be killed just to put food on my plate, or clothes on my back. Also i would never eat a cat, a dog or even a horse, but I eat cows, pigs, fish and chickens???? why the double standard? should i only care about animals that are cute and adorable? Ofcourse not...
