UNKNOWING FARMERS POISONING CAMBODIA'S FARMLANDS, ECO-SYSTEMS

Pesticides that are highly hazardous and often banned in

their countries of origin are being smuggled into Cambodia

and given to poor, unsuspecting farmers. Activists say multinational

corporations and smaller operators have made Cambodia a

dumping ground for dangerous pest killers, a charge denied

by at least one leading manufacturer.
