Guest guest Posted October 14, 2008 Report Share Posted October 14, 2008 Black Velvet Pudding 1 x packet Orgran Chocolate Cake Mix (-OR- other GF mix or recipe) vegan chocolate Sauce: 100 g (3 1/2 oz) vegan chocolate 50 ml (3 1/3 tbsp) soy milk Raspberry Coulis: 8 teaspoons maple syrup 1 cup frozen raspberries 1. Make up the Orgran cake mix as per instructions but instead of making a sponge place your mixture in friand moulds. Use 2 or 3 tablespoons per mould. 2. Into the middle of each place a small piece of vegan chocolate making sure to seal the top with the cake mixture. 3. Cook as directed but your friands should be ready at about 20 minutes. Check with care as the chocolate will have melted and will be sticky so check with a skewer off center. 3. Remove from the oven and after a few minutes turn out onto a cooling rack. Sauce: 1. Melt 100 g (3 1/2 oz) vegan chocolate in a bowl on top of boiling hot water and allow to melt. 2. Remove from the heat and stir in enough warmed soy milk to give you a sauce consistency. Raspberry Coulis: 1. Heat 1 cup of frozen raspberries in a small saucepan until they are soft and the juice is running. 2. Add 8 teaspoons maple syrup and bring to the boil. Simmer for a few minutes. 3. Remove from the heat and strain immediately. To Serve: Serve your friands with a dollop of sauce on top and a drizzle of raspberry coulis on top of that. Serves 4.
