Guest guest Posted September 11, 2008 Report Share Posted September 11, 2008 Nut & Bean Burgers Source: Orgran Everyday Health 3/4 cup ground hazelnuts (you can also use ground almonds) 1 medium sweet potato, cooked one 400 g (14 oz) can kidney beans 1/2 cup Orgran All Purpose Crumbs (-OR- GF dry bread crumbs) 8 tsp Orgran Plain Flour (-OR- other GF flour blend) 4 tsp tahini 2 tsp ground cumin salt and pepper, to taste extra GF flour for dusting 1. Pre-heat the oven to 375 F (190 C). 2. Line a baking tray with baking paper. 3. Mix all the ingredients together. Using a food processor or blender, make into a smooth puree. 4.Form into burger shapes (if the mixture is too sticky, add more crumbs or a little flour). Dust your hands with a little flour to prevent the mix from sticking. Work quickly. 5. Place the burgers onto the tray and bake the burgers for 40 to 50 minutes, turning the burgers after 20 to 25 minutes. Fantastic with a green salad.
