Guest guest Posted May 21, 2008 Report Share Posted May 21, 2008 Red Wine Sauce 30 g (1 oz) vegan margarine 1 medium brown (yellow) onion, finely chopped 1 garlic clove, crushed 1/2 cup vegan dry red wine 1 cup beef-style stock pepper, to taste 1. Melt margarine in a frying pan over medium heat. Add onion. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes or until softened. 2. Add garlic. Cook, stirring, for 1 minute or until fragrant. 3. Add wine. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. Add stock. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to medium. Simmer for 10 to 12 minutes or until thickened. 4. Season with pepper.
