Guest guest Posted May 20, 2008 Report Share Posted May 20, 2008 Onion Sauce 30 g (1 oz) vegan margarine 2 medium red onions, thinly sliced 1 garlic clove, crushed 4 teaspoons GF flour 1 cup beef-style stock 1. Melt margarine in a frying pan over medium-low heat. Add onion and garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until onion starts to caramelise. 2. Add flour. Cook, stirring, for 2 to 3 minutes. 3. Gradually add stock. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer for 10 minutes or until slightly thickened. 4. Season with pepper.
