Guest guest
I have found tubed tomato paste in some markets as well. I believe Albertson's, Fred Meyer's, and even Safeway have it. It's usually on a top shelf with the gourmet type foods, so isn't always easy to find. It sure is handy to have on hand, though. I'm starting a new subject line to see if we can get rid of declaration that our conversation is 'spam'. LaDonna >>>have a World Market about 15 minutes from here. I live about 45 minutes south of Chicago. Thanks for the tip. There's also a great Italian market in a town nearby as well. Don't go there often, especially now. Too tempting! Guest guest
I buy my tomato paste in a jar, use what I need then freeze the remainder in an icecube tray. When frozen just pop into a ziploc bag. Then you have tomato paste ready to be pulled out of the freezer in tablespoon size pieces. I usually just throw the cubes into what ever I am cooking still frozen. Works well for sauces too, particularly if you are making them yourself.
