Guest guest
Fruit Salad in a Melon 1 large whole watermelon fresh fruit of choice: cantaloupe, strawberries, kiwi fruit, blueberries, grapes, raspberries, pineapple, mandarin segments, peaches, plums, cherries, bananas (soaked in lemon juice) etc. 1. To prepare watermelon, cut a slice from the bottom so that it will sit flat without wobbling. 2. Draw a line about 1/3 down from the top. Cut off the top section. 3. Using a spoon remove the flesh and chop, or use a melon baller to scoop it out. Reserve the flesh for the fruit salad. 4. Chill or freeze the empty shell until ready to use. 5. Fill with fruit of choice. TIP: If you're feeling clever you can cut the top off and leave a handle in the middle on top.
