Guest guest
Mary--What's your fruit intake like? Maybe your pregnant system is too sensitive to support much fruit sugar. I'd greatly increase the " green leafies " and greatly decrease the gluten free bread type items. Just some thoughts. Marilyn **************Biggest Grammy Award surprises of all time on AOL Music. Guest guest
The main problem with some who get gestational diabetes is there diet is high in oils, fats, and low in exercise which blocks and causes insulin resistance. The best way to help is to eat as little oil, fructose as possible and eat more green leafy vegetables and do a lot of walking. Best regards Colin
Guest guest
Thanks so much for the responses. I'm still a bit baffled, though! My diet consists of salads, spinach, broccoli, cukes, mushrooms, nuts, beans lots of brown rice, flax oil, spices. Up until a short time ago, I jogged two miles, three times a week and now I walk each day. I eat very little gluten-free bread, except for the occasional loaf I bake in my bread machine and the desserts I bake are with wheat specically for my 6 y.o. I have noticed that from Day One with this pregnancy, I crave fresh fruit like crazy! Things like blackberries, raspberries, etc. Thanks again, Mary --- Colin Hammond <niloch wrote: > The main problem with some who get gestational > diabetes is there diet > is high in oils, fats, and low in exercise which > blocks and causes > insulin resistance. I had gestational diabetes 18 years ago. I was thin, regularly working out at a health club and eating co-op food at the time. " Note the use of the word " some " . He didn't say all cases of GD were related to food and exercise.
