Guest guest Posted November 23, 2007 Report Share Posted November 23, 2007 Green Apple Sauce 500 g (17 1/2 oz) granny smith apples, peeled, cored, diced 8 teaspoons sugar 4 teaspoons lemon juice pinch mixed spice 10 g (1/3 oz) vegan margarine 1. Combine apple and 1/3 cup cold water in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer, covered, for 10 minutes or until apple is soft. 2. Add sugar, juice, mixed spice and margarine. Stir to combine. Remove from heat. Set aside for 5 minutes to cool. 3. Remove apple mixture to a food processor. Process until smooth. Serve warm or cold. TIP: Serve with tofu turkey. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
