Guest guest Posted November 21, 2007 Report Share Posted November 21, 2007 Honey Sesame Baby Carrots 1.5 kg (3 1/3 lb) bunches Dutch (baby) carrots, trimmed, scrubbed 4 tsp sesame seeds 6 teaspoons honey (-OR- vegan alternative such as agave nectar) 1. Place carrots in a large saucepan. Cover with cold water. Cover and bring to the boil. Cook for 5 minutes or until tender. Drain. Remove to a serving plate. Cover to keep warm. 2. Meanwhile, place sesame seeds in a small non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Cook, stirring often, for 3 to 4 minutes or until lightly toasted. Add honey (or alternative). Cook, stirring, for 1 minute or until honey has melted. Drizzle honey mixture over carrots. Serve. TIP: To microwave carrots, place, in a single layer, on a heatproof, microwave-safe plate.
