American No Bone Char Sugar Companies

This was posted to another forum:

American No Bone Char Sugar Companies

Florida Crystals: Florida Crystals Demerara Natural Sugar

Organic Evaporated Cane Sugar {Granulated or Powdered}

Golden Granulated Evaported Cane Sugar

Great Eastern Sun: Sweet Cloud Organic Raw Cane Sugar

Hain Celestial Group: Hain Organic Brown Sugar

Shady Maple Farms: Shady Maple Farms Granulated Maple Sugar

Tropical Traditions: Rapadura Whole Organic Sugar

Wholesome Sweeteners: Light Muscovado Sugar

Dark Muscovado Sugar

Again Note: 100% Beet Sugar is NOT bone char filtered.

VRG recommends that those who wish to avoid bone char processing

purchase organic sugar and consume foods that list only organic sugar

or evaporated cane juice. Prepackaged and restaurant foods will always

be questionable.

Also be aware that some large companies now call bone char " Natuaral

Charcoal "

The American Sugar Refining in Yonker's NY uses an Ion Exchange System.

Jack Frost Brand was bought by Domino which uses bone char except for

the list.

Hi Elite,

This list (posted here as posted elsewhere) is all the companies or

brands that do not use bone char filters. It lists all beet sugars as

being bone char free.

The article from which the list was extracted from is online :
