Guest guest
Stan, What can you afford? Right now I'm eating spirulina, chlorella and Just Barley. That seems like plenty to me. I did buy a couple of bottles of Pure Synergy years ago and it was the only superfood that I remember getting a buzz from. I figured it must have been the mushrooms or herbs. I might try it again when the Just Barley runs out. Here's the mesquite meal: http://www.ec-securehost.com/TreeofLifeRejuvenationCenter/Raw_Foods.html Mark - Stan Hoffman RawSeattle Friday, January 14, 2005 3:13 PM [RawSeattle] Superfoods I'm getting a bit confused. How does one choose which superfood/algae to buy? Cousens has an array on his website and every one is supposed to be the one miracle you need to be superman. Can someone clarify? Also--I couldn¹t find mesquite on his site even though he talks about it a number of times in the book. Thanks for any help, Stan
Guest guest
For cleansing, Chlorella, and for all algaes, a brand that has the thinnest cell wall for digestibility and that is spray dried. On all blue green algaes compare the vitamin and mineral content per mg., and if they don't list the information don't buy it. Guest guest
I get my Superfood (called: Vitamineral Green) from Health Force Nutritionals. It's the same stuff David Wolfe sells at Raw Food.com, but slightly less expensive, becuase this is the manufacturer. David has an agreement to put Nature's First Law labeling on the product. The site is horrible to navigate through, so good luck! The link to info about the superfoods is a little way down the page on the left side (first column). http://www.healthforcenutritionals.com Paula Stan Hoffman <stanhoffman wrote: I'm getting a bit confused. Guest guest
I've been trying some new things that I've read about in raw food publications and elsewhere, including goji berries, chlorella, and (today) kombucha tea. Now that was an odd one with the tart fizziness and the strings of something floating in it, but I actually think I'm going to develop a taste for it! These things all do seem to help with my energy level. I had the day off today and wanted to take a nap, but couldn't sleep. Unheard of for me. Guest guest
The kombucha tea is a bit much for me, although I think different brands have different tastes. I have been using the goji berries, bee pollen, and maca on a regular basis and I think I'm starting to see a difference.
