Sheila's Fat Pats

(adapted to gluten free)

 

3 cups water

1/2 cup oil

6 Tbsp. nutritional yeast flakes

3 Tbsp. chicken style seasoning, vegan

1/4tsp sage

1 onion, chopped fine

2 cloves garlic, minced

3/4 cups walnuts or pecans chopped

3 cups quinoa flakes

 

Simmer first 7 ingredients for 15 minutes. Add the nuts. Bring to a boil. Add

the quinoa flakes and mix well. Turn off the heat and let stand long until they

cool down so you can handle them. Make into patties and place on a cookie sheet

or baking stone. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes, turn patties, and

bake 15 minutesor so more, until they are brown. Serve with gravy, mushroom or

tomato soup, or use in gluten free buns.
