Guest guest Posted June 27, 2007 Report Share Posted June 27, 2007 Better Than a Burger 250 g (9 oz) firm tofu 2 cups cooked vegetables (roasted vegies already done) 1 cup grated carrot 2 tablespoons (8 tsp) tomato paste hummus (to make mixture stick together) GF bread crumbs ground linseed (flaxseed) toasted sesame seeds herbs (of your choice) 2 GF hamburger buns -OR- corn bread 2 brown (yellow) onions coral lettuce 2 roma tomatoes fruit chutney 1. Break up tofu into bowl, add carrots, tomato paste and hummus. Mix together by hand. 2. Dice roasted vegetables, chop the herbs and mix well. Mould mixture into eight patties. 3. Mix ground lindseed, sesame seeds and bread crumbs together and coat the patties. 4. Heat in fry pan for a couple of minutes until cooked. 5. Toast buns, or corn bread.
