Guest guest Posted June 19, 2007 Report Share Posted June 19, 2007 Danish Red Cabbage 1 head red cabbage 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. grape jam or jelly 1/2 c. apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice) 2 tbsp. vegan margarine 1/2 c. water Shred cabbage. Add all ingredients and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer about 2 hours. Taste and add more vinegar or sugar as needed. Serve warm. Freezes well. A Danish tradition on holidays.
