Guest guest
Thank you for your recent posts and encouragments in our 3 yr old son's gluten challenge. There are many reasons why our family has decided to go ahead with a biopsy. Please don't be condescending in what our family chooses - we have spent over 11 mos praying and deciding this next course of action. Because we eliminated gluten from my son's diet prior to knowing about Celiac, we could not get a biopsy done in the beginning. Knowing, for sure, that he has an autoimmune disease is important to us - and for the future of his children and our future children. Besides, Celiac could be present in another relative (Grma's and Grpa's) without them knowing - and having a positive test could save a family member's life. He is almost done - his biopsy is on Thursday. We are praying for protection and healing. God Bless, Nicole in NM
Guest guest
Nicole, I fully understand your reasons for going ahead with the gluten challenge, even though its hard on your poor lil guy right now-you need an accurate diagnoses for many reasons, such as insurance coverage for treatment, school records, and just general peace of mind. I know how hard it must be on you to be putting him through this, but I DO understand. Its easy for someone to just say " dont bother " , but there is legitimate reasons to do it. I will put your son and family in my prayers. I hope everything works out for you. Brenda
