Guest guest Posted May 19, 2007 Report Share Posted May 19, 2007 Apple Sauce (Britain) Source: Encyclopedia of European Cooking 1 Ib (450 g) apples 1 tablespoon (3 tsp) water 1 tablespoon (3 tsp) sugar 2 teaspoons lemon juice 1 tablespoon (3 tsp) vegan margarine Peel, quarter and core the apples and put into a pan with the water. Simmer until the apples are quite soft, then beat until smooth. Add the margarine, sugar and lemon juice, then heat for 5 minutes, stirring continuously.
