Guest guest Posted April 18, 2007 Report Share Posted April 18, 2007 Creamy Rice Cereal Source: Lifestyle Centers of America 1 cup whole brown rice 4 cups water OR 2 cups water/2 cups soy milk 1 tsp. salt Toast whole brown rice or other (gf) grain in a 300 degree oven for 45 minutes. May also toast in a dry skillet until nutty aroma rises (this step is optional, it gives the grain a roasted flavor). Gring the grain in a seed mill or blend in a blender until the constancy that you want. Bring the water to a boil and add the grain and salt, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer 30 - 40 minutes. Wonderful homemade flavor! Reduce sodium by cutting the salt amount in half or eliminate completely.
