Guest guest Posted March 21, 2007 Report Share Posted March 21, 2007 Wok-Fried Mushrooms with Honey and Soy 4 tsp sesame seeds 4 tsp peanut oil 400 g (14 oz) button mushrooms, trimmed 200 g (7 oz) Swiss brown mushrooms, trimmed 2 tbsp (8 tsp) GF soy sauce 4 tsp vegetarian oyster sauce 4 tsp honey (-OR- vegan alternative) 6 green onions, thinly sliced 1 small red chilli, deseeded & finely chopped 1. Heat a wok over high heat. Add sesame seeds and cook, stirring constantly, for 2 - 3 minutes or until golden. Remove and set aside. 2. Add oil, button and Swiss brown mushrooms to wok and stir-fry for 1 minute or until well coated with oil. 3. Add combined soy sauce, oyster sauce and honey (or alternative) and stir-fry for 2 minutes or until mushrooms are just tender. 4. Add green onions, chilli and sesame seeds and stir-fry for 1 minute.
