We use this recipe to coat slices of tofu (which we call " Tofish " ),

and slices of potato when we have a craving for junk food. Serve with

chips (fries) for Tofish " n " Chips.

 

 

Super Crispy Batter

 

 

1/4 cup chickpea flour (AKA besan, garbanzo bean flour)

1/2 cup potato starch

1/2 cup rice flour (brown or white)

1 tsp salt

1 tsp GF baking powder

water

 

 

1. Mix together dry ingredients.

 

2. Gradually stir in water until batter reaches desired consistency -

thick enough to coat, but not too thick. Whisk until smooth.

 

3. Use to coat slices of tofu, thin slices of potato or pumpkin, etc.

 

4. Deep or shallow fry in oil until crisp and golden brown.

 

 

Serve with chips (fries) for Tofish " n " Chips.
