Guest guest Posted March 17, 2007 Report Share Posted March 17, 2007 Braised Red Cabbage and Apples 1 Granny Smith apple 1 tablespoon (4 tsp) vegan margarine 1 tablespoon (4 tsp) olive oil 1/2 small red cabbage, finely shredded 1/4 cup apple juice 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds (optional) salt and pepper, to taste 1. Cut apple iiiio charters. Remove core. Thinly slice. 2. Heat margarine and oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add apple. Cook, turning often, for 3 to 4 minutes or until light golden. Remove to a plate. 3. Add cabbage, juice and caraway seeds to frying pan. Stir to combine.
