Guest guest Posted March 17, 2007 Report Share Posted March 17, 2007 Cabbage with Sesame, Cumin and Fennel Seeds 1/4 cup canola oil 1 teaspoon whole cumin seeds 1 teaspoon sesame seeds 1/2 teaspoon whole fennel seeds 3 green onions, thinly sliced 1 kg (35 oz) (1 small) green cabbage, finely shredded 2 tablespoons (8 tsp) lemon juice 1. Heat oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. When hot, add cumin seeds, sesame seeds and fennel seeds. When seeds begin popping, add onions and cabbage. Increase heat to high. Cook, stirring, for 3 to 4 minutes or until cabbage is bright green. 2. Add lemon juice, and salt and pepper. Toss until well combined. Serve. Serves 8 as a side dish.
