Free-Form Plum Tart

 

 

1 quantity of sweet pastry dough (see " Desserts " folder)

1/2 cup ground hazelnuts

two 400 g (14 oz) cans of plums, well drained, halved, stones removed

1 tablespoon caster (superfine granulated) sugar

 

 

1. Preheat oven to 200 C (390 F).

 

2. Line a baking tray with baking paper.

 

3. Roll pastry to a 30 cm (12 " ) circle. Place on baking tray. Leaving

a 3 cm (2 1/4 " ) border, sprinkle nuts over pastry. Top with plums.

Fold pastry over plums, leaving half the plums exposed. Sprinkle with

caster sugar.

 

4. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden.

 

 

Serve with vegan ice-cream, if desired.

 

 

Serves 6.
