Guest guest Posted March 7, 2007 Report Share Posted March 7, 2007 Roasted Cinnamon Pears 4 pears (just ripe) extra light olive oil spray 4 tsp caster (superfine granulated) sugar 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon low-fat vegan ice-cream, to serve extra cinnamon, for sprinkling (optional) 1. Preheat oven to 180 C (350 F). 2. Peel pears and cut into quarters. Remove cores. Place in a large roasting pan lined with baking paper. Spray with oil. 3. Add combined sugar and cinnamon. Toss to coat. Roast for 20 minutes or until pears are tender and golden. 4. Serve roasted pears with ice-cream and sprinkle with extra cinnamon, if desired. Serves 4. --- Per serve: $1.10; 438kJ; O.Sgfat; O.lgsatfat; 3.2g fibre; 25.8g carb; 0.5g protein; Omg cholesterol; 13.5mg sodium.
