ways to use coconut oil

Hello Diane,

As Lisa suggested in her post #10774, coconut oil is great to use in

a

shake.

Brenda in her post #10776 used it in an ice cream recipe.

One of my favorite ways to eat coconut oil is as follows:

steam your vegs and put them into a serving bowl, put on a Tbsp of

coconut oil, a little fresh cut or dried seasoning plus Celtic sea

salt

to taste, toss and serve immediately. The vegs prepared like this

look

glossy and are delicious too!

I use wax paper to put coconut oil on top of my fresh baked bread and

buns, it keeps them nice and soft and adds a delicious flavour.

My husband likes to spread it on bread and eat it just like that.

That

can be a little tricky in the summer because the oil melts at room

temperature. You could mix the coconut oil with some olive, or hemp

oil and store in the fridge.(adding the oil will soften it and help

it

to spread on your bread easier) You could also add your favourite

seasoning to it>

It can be used in a stir-fry because frying coconut oil does not

spoil

the oil!

As another lady mentioned, it can be used as a replacement for oil in

most recipes. I've used it in my bread recipe, it's great!

Don't be afraid to experiment with it.

I know many of you have mentioned using coconut oil of your skin, and I do

as well. But I was wondering if you also use it on your face? Or just the

rest of your body?

Thanks,

Sharon
