Guest guest
I've tried different brands of pasta (rinsing with cold water) and Tinkyada is definetly our preference. No matter what kind of noodle in the Tinkyada brand, elbows, rottini, spaghetti, fettucini, lasagna, penne, they all are great! I've noticed too that most of the other brands fall apart. We are Tinkyada fans! ~Gail , " hathor42 " <rose301 wrote: > > , " K Oland " <oland.k@> > wrote: > > > > > As to pasta, it is hard to find a good GF pasta. > > > They all tend to stick together and become gummy. > > > Suggestions, anyone? > > I know lots of people like Tinkyada and it seems to be available in > about every store. Guest guest
My family prefers Erowon to Tinkyada and if we are using rice vermicelli we get an asian brand from the local asian store. Both these brands are much less expensive than Tinkyada as well. Feeding six people I cannot afford pasta that cots $4 for the small sized box. We would need two boxes just for one meal and I really try to keep the overall cost of our meals to under $10 a meal - often under $5. Maybe the brands I use are not as starchy as the more expensive ones, although the Erowon will go to mushy if cooked too long or on to high a heat. We are Tinkyada fans! We use Tinkyada or the Trader Joe's variety. Other brands aren't an option because we *must* use wholegrain. I don't care for the quinoa/corn pasta or the pastas made from navy beans. I sometimes use the starch-based Asian noodles, but my husband can't have them. ygg
