Guest guest
Baked Barbecue Tofu Steaks Source: New Haven Register dot Com 1 10-ounce package extra-firm tofu 1 cup barbecue sauce of your choice (try honey garlic or teriyaki) Cut tofu into 1/2-inch-thick slices and place in a bowl. Pour in the barbecue sauce, turning the slices so they are coated on all sides. Cover bowl and marinate, refrigerated, for at least 1 hour - but overnight is even better. Preheat the oven to 375. Dump contents of the bowl, tofu, sauce and all, into a baking dish big enough for the slices to be arranged in a single layer. Bake at 375 for about 30 minutes, turning the slices over a couple of times and basting with the sauce. Serve hot, with rice or potatoes to soak up the sauce. Makes 2 or 3 servings.
